The Secret to Starting a Successful Business

successHow many business ideas have you had?

How many ideas have you implemented? Did they work? I’m sure some did. But to be truly successful in your business, you need to be committed. By committed, I mean, believe in it with all your heart and soul. You need to know that the people you want as customers can truly benefit from your service.

Don’t just think of it as a business. Instead, strive to start a movement.

When you think of your business as a movement, it creates a shift in your mind. You envision your customers truly benefiting from what you have to offer. More importantly, you create avid fans and those fans won’t be able to keep quiet about you. You will see waves of people clamoring for what you have to offer.

How do you start a movement?

It begins with you. Live it, breath it, be it. Sing about it.

First, write down your idea. Then craft messages that embody the BIG PICTURE idea.  Break those messages down into bite size chunks. Start sharing those chunks online: a blog post, then on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and especially YouTube. Video is by far the best way for your prospective clients to meet you, understand who you are, what you are about, and what you have to offer. Video hits all the senses in the digital world.

Try setting up a few Pinterest Boards around your idea. For example, if you are a health coach, start a board on fruits and vegetables, organic meat, gluten free – be specific in your board names so they can be found. The pins on those boards should lead back to your blog posts, and the posts of those your share some aspect of your message.
